Village, Colorado is situated in
Arapahoe County, directly south of Denver and Cherry Hills Village,
encompassing 7.75 square miles. The Village was incorporated as
a town in 1950 and received its home rule charter in 1968.

Greenwood
Village is a unique community. Its
resident population is approximately 9,000, with a "daytime" population
adding over 40,000 people through the business community, many
of whom contribute to the well-being of the city.

The residential and commercial citizens of
Greenwood Village want to maintain a high-quality living environment
with a strong sense of community identity, placing a high priority
on public safety, road maintenance including snow removal, and
recreational amenities. The Village includes primarily low density
residential development, a well defined bike path and trail system,
and developed and natural parks and greenbelts that bring the
Village's physical components in harmony with all segments of
the community.

The city was founded in 1950. Over the years
it has grown from a rural village to a community with a passion
to get bigger. Greenwood Village became a home rule city in 1972.
At the same time a parks and recreation department was organized
for the benefit of the citizens.
The eastern section of Greenwood Village houses
multiple covenant controlled subdivisions. The western section
has much open space and is "almost rural", either side
is flanked by the areas most expensive real estate in south metro
Denver.
The Denver Technological Center is in Greenwood
Village, founded in 1968 is the location of hundreds of businesses.
Some well-known employers are Great Western Life, Microsoft, First
Data corporation and RE/MAX International, just to name a few.
For the most part homes in Greenwood Village
have upscale prices, although it's possible to find affordable
town homes and condos in the area along the I-25 corridor.
