Founded in 1864, Parker is approximately 20 miles southeast of
Denver. Parker Colorado is a short drive from Denver and Colorado
Springs.

In February 2004, Parket Adventist Hospital opened to the public. The new hospital
includes Level III emergency care as well as pediatric care in
partnership with The Children's Hospital.

Parker Adventist Hospital
Parker began in 1860 as a stage stop. Named appropriately
the "Twenty Mile House". It is twenty miles from there
to the next stage stop now know as Colfax and Colorado Blvd. in
Denver. The Twenty Mile House eventually was owned by James Sample
Parker, show gave his name to the now bustling town.
Now a days, Denver is too crowed for some people,
so they are moving out to the suburbs. parker has become a popular
destination for these folks who want "elbow space".
Main Street in Parker has old time charm, flanked
by modern convenience. New housing developments are planned to
take advantage of open spaces and walking trails.
Rural Parker stretches beyond Douglas County
over to Elbert County to the east. Horse lovers rejoice on five
acre plotted communities on the prairie. Best of all are the views
of the Front range. On a clear day, the mountains are visible
from Pikes Peak to Longs Peak (about 150 miles of mountains!).

Other amenities in the area include a
recreation center, a new public library, two golf courses and
miles of bike trails.
